Nigeria’s participation in the 2019 AFCON was highly Commendable. The young team made great efforts which resulted to their victory thus making them finish third place.

 Their loss to Algeria at the semi-finals dashed their hopes of becoming the AFCON champions but returning home with a Bronze medal was better than returning home with nothing.
